Enviropath system is a means of stabilising in-situ soil and gravel using PolyCom Stabilising Aid instead of traditional cement and lime. This further increases the environmental sustainability of soil stabilisation, making it Irelands most environmentally sustainable stabilising method.
We have teamed up with PolyCom Global to utilise their environmentally sustainable PolyCom Stabilising Aid. PolyCom Stabilising Aid is environmentally friendly, permanent, and non-toxic and it enhances soil stabilisation’s environmental advantages through the reduction or elimination of the necessity of using traditional high-carbon emitting aids.
PolyCom Stabilisation Aid is a non-chemical reaction eco-friendly binder. It works with every soil particle creating a kneadable material format that results in increased interlocking and compaction density by reducing water mobility throughout surface layers. Polycom does not break down and become ineffective when exposed to weather conditions and does not require re-application or replacement. It can simply be reworked on site and studies have shown surfaces still performing after 20 plus years in many industries such as agriculture, forestry, mining, and aviation.

PolyCom Stabilising Aid is a high-performing road stabilisation product with applications for sealed or unsealed road construction and maintenance, embankment stabilisation, general earthworks, basial liners and cut off trenches.
Advantages typically include a reduction in permeability, an increase in durability, a non-time dependent mixing phase, and the provision of flexibility. PolyCom Stabilising Aid a Polyacrylamide (PAM) is one such additive that has demonstrated such advantages.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
PolyCom stabilising aid is a polyacrylamide (PAM) stabiliser, PAM stabiliser aid provides an electrostatic attraction among soil particles rather than introducing a chemical reaction to stabilise soil as with traditional aids such as lime or cement. The effective interaction of soil particle takes place when polymers are adsorbed onto the soil particles, the adsorption process significantly alters the molecular configuration of the soil. Adsorption of anionic PAM onto the clay particles and interaction occur by cation bridging, through which the polyvalent cations bridge the negative charged groups of clay particles and polymers together.

Celtic Soil Solutions have ensured the suitability of PolyCom stabilising Aid for use on Irish soil types.
Projects were carried out in varying weather conditions and have been shown through ongoing testing to reveal comparable strength and durability to traditional stabilisation methods while retaining flexibility, resistance to shrinkage, cracking and becoming brittle.

Enviropath system is a means of stabilising in-situ soil and gravel using PolyCom Stabilising Aid, eliminating or greatly reducing the need to use traditional high-carbon emitting aids such as cement and lime. This further increases the environmental sustainability of soil stabilisation, making it Irelands most environmentally friendly stabilising system. One 2kg bottle of PolyCom stabilising aid stabilises the same quantity as 2 tons of cement or lime: 100 tons of soil, this results in road haulage savings, time savings but most importantly it immensely reduces the carbon footprint through decreased freight requirements. . PolyCom stabilising aid also drastically reduces the volume of water necessary for stabilisation.
PolyCom Stabilising Aid is environmentally friendly, permanent and non-toxic and has impeccable environmental and health and safety credentials.
