Enviropath system is a means of stabilising in-situ soil and gravel using PolyCom Stabilising Aid instead of traditional cement and lime. This further increases the environmental sustainability of soil stabilisation, making it Irelands most environmentally sustainable stabilising method.
We have teamed up with PolyCom Global to utilise their environmentally sustainable PolyCom Stabilising Aid. PolyCom Stabilising Aid is environmentally friendly, permanent, and non-toxic and it enhances soil stabilisation’s environmental advantages through the reduction or elimination of the necessity of using traditional high-carbon emitting aids.
PolyCom Stabilisation Aid is a non-chemical reaction eco-friendly binder. It works with every soil particle creating a kneadable material format that results in increased interlocking and compaction density by reducing water mobility throughout surface layers. Polycom does not break down and become ineffective when exposed to weather conditions and does not require re-application or replacement. It can simply be reworked on site and studies have shown surfaces still performing after 20 plus years in many industries such as agriculture, forestry, mining, and aviation.

One 2kg bottle of PolyCom stabilising aid stabilises the same quantity as 2 tons of cement or lime: 100 tons of soil, this results in road haulage savings, time savings but most importantly it immensely reduces the carbon footprint through decreased freight requirements. . PolyCom stabilising aid also drastically reduces the volume of water necessary for stabilisation.

Manufacturing:PolyCom stabilising aid manufacturing carbon emissions is approximately 3.14 kg of CO2-e per 2kg bottle, the average emission for Cement is 444 kg of Carbon per 2 ton (2KG PolyCom equivalent).
Transportation:one 2kg bottle is equivalent to 2 tons of cement, resulting in air and road haulage emissions being drastically reduced. In-Situ: PolyCom stabilisation aid produces a negligible carbon footprint throughout application as opposed to all other recognised stabilisation products and techniques due to its non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-allergic components. End of life:Enviropath system of treatment with PolyCom results in net zero waste off site by utilising all the existing materials which have traditionally been excavated to waste. Enviropath stabilised soil can be re-crushed on site and reworked to achieve new surfaces or as part of a maintenance programme |
